Salmon Patties

14 ounces canned salmon
1 egg
1/2 cup flour
1 heaping teapoon baking powder
Instructions
Drain salmon, reserving 1/4 cup liquid. Put salmon into a mixing bowl, break apart with fork. Add flour and slightly beaten egg. Add pepper if desired.
Add the baking powder to the reserved liquid, then beat well with a fork, until foamy. Pour this into the salmon mixture, then stir until blended.
Using two teaspoons, scoop the mixture out with one spoon, and with the other push the mixture into a deep fryer half full of hot oil.
