Sweet & Sour Chicken
User Submitted RecipeSweet, tangy, and delicious.
“
Broccoli and carrots are easier to eat up in this sauce :) and it's better than the usual rubbery cooked bell peppers in this dish."
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts cubed
1 tablespoon corn starch
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3/4 cup pineapple chunks
3/4 cup carrot slices
3/4 cup broccoli
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
1/4 cup juice (orange or pineapple)
3 tablespoons brown sugar
Instructions
Mix chicken cubes, cornstarch, and sesame oil.
Mix pineapple, carrot, and broccoli in a separate bowl.
Mix soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, juice, and brown sugar in a separate bowl.
Cook the chicken halfway through, then add the vegetables. As soon as they start wilting, add the sauce mixture.
Taste and adjust.
