Sweet and Sour Meatballs with a Kick

These meatballs are made with ground turkey and are great served with rice or potatoes!"

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey
3/4 cups bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup onion finely chopped
1 egg
Up to 1 teaspoon salt

Sauce:
3/4 cup Sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup vinegar
2/3 cup cool water
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
Up to 2 teaspoons Crushed red pepper flakes


Instructions

Mix the ingredients for the meatballs. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place on a prepared sheet pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 375 degrees, turning as needed. While meatballs are baking, prepare sauce. Mix sugar, brown sugar, soy sauce and vinegar in a sauce pan over medium high heat stirring to combine. In a small bowl, stir cornstarch and cool water, add to sauce pan and stir until thickened, then add the crushed red pepper flakes. Add meatballs to sauce and serve.
