Panda's Lasagna Suprema

Wonderfully delicious, is the only way to describe this Lasagna!"



¼ c. Olive oil
½ c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic crushed or (1/2 tsp. instant)
1 can (12 oz.) crushed tomatoes
2 cans (6 oz.) tomato paste
1 lb. Lean ground beef
1 T. olive oil
2 tsp. Oregano
1 tsp. Basil
1 T. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Garlic powder
¼ tsp. Pepper


1 Carton (12 oz.) Cottage Cheese
1 Carton (15 oz.) Ricotta Cheese
2 pkgs. Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Parmesan Cheese
1 pkg. Lasagna Noodles (cooked)
1 lb. Virginia Baked Ham (sliced thick)


Sauce Prep

Brown ground beef, onion, and crushed garlic in 1 T. olive oil.
Drain thoroughly. Return meat to pot. Add ¼ olive oil, tomato paste, and crushed tomatoes. Mix well. Add oregano, basil, sugar, garlic powder, pepper, salt. Let simmer mixing very often for about 20-30 min. Should be quite thick and will burn easily!

Cheese Mixture

Mix Ricotta & Cottage cheeses thoroughly.

In a 9X13 pan layer ingredients as follows.

Sprinkle with Parmesan
Cheese mixture
Mozzarella (generously)
Repeat until pan is full. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour @ 350 degrees. Remove foil and bake 30 more minutes or until cheese on top is golden brown. Remove from oven, and let stand 10- 15 min. before cutting. If you don’t like cottage cheese, use all Ricotta or vise versa.
