Apple BBQ Chicken
User Submitted Recipe
“
Want to add a little zest to plain ol' BBQ Chicken? Try this out! A caramelized sauce makes this BBQ chicken so tasty you'll want it again tomorrow. You can use any kind of BBQ sauce, but I have had the best results with Stubbs Spicy. I like to serve this with corn on the cob and potatoes. Let me know how you like it!"
Ingredients
2 cups Stubbs Spicy BBQ Sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 cups chunky applesauce
4 chicken breasts (thawed)
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
Pound out the chicken breasts and sprinkle with black pepper. In a large bowl, combine BBQ Sauce, brown sugar, chili powder and chunky applesauce. Preheat a large skillet and add olive oil. Brown chicken breasts for 4 minutes on one side then flip them over. Pour BBQ Sauce mixture over the freshly turned chicken breasts. Cover and cook for another 6 minutes or until chicken juices run clear.
Serve with your favorite veggies!
