Sweet and Spicy Grilled Salmon
User Submitted Recipe
“
These salmon steaks are sweet and spicy along with being so simple to prepare out side on the grill. You will notice that there is no salt in this recipe, which is because of the Italian dressing and soy sauce; they are very salty so the recipe works great without added salt. I try to cook it at about 400 degrees according to my grills thermostat and I try to only turn it once, but you can do whatever works for you. Chicken can be substituted for salmon and it is equally as delicious."
Ingredients
4 - 4oz salmon steaks
1/2 c peach preserves
1/2 C zesty Italian salad dressing
2 T low sodium soy sauce
1/2 T crushed red pepper
Instructions
Place peach preserves in the microwave for about 45 seconds to melt it then add salad dressing, soy sauce and crushed red pepper. Mix well and reserve about 1/2 Cup to brush on salmon while cooking. Pour remaining over salmon steaks in a zip top bag. Let set in fridge for about 2 hours or longer turning over every 30 minutes (turning optional) Remove salmon steaks from bag and place on hot grill cooking to desired doneness basting after each turn.
