Cabbage CasseroleUser Submitted Recipe
8 cups shredded cabbage
½ pound lean sirloin
½ pound lean ground turkey
1 cup uncooked white rice
1 slice bread
1 Tbsp. ketchup
1 tsp Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce
4 cups canned stewed tomatoes
2 Tbsp unpacked brown sugar
1 small onion
Cook cabbage with ¼ cup water in micro for 5 minutes. Stir and cook an additional 5 minutes.
While cabbage cooks, mix meat, rice, bread, ketchup, egg and Worcestershire sauce together and set aside.
Mix tomatoes, onion, brown sugar.
Layer cabbage in bottom of cake pan and spread meat mixture over cabbage (thin layer) covering the cabbage. Pour tomato mixture on top.
Cook at 325 for an hour uncovered. Can be cooked up to two hours if time allows.
