Black Bean and Beef Chili

2 cups cooked roast beef cubed
1 onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 cans Italian style stewed tomatoes
15 oz. can black beans drained and rinsed
2 tsp. chili powder, optional
In a saucepan over medium heat, saute onions and peppers in oil until soft. Stir in pork. Add tomatoes, beans and chili powder (if using) salt, pepper and some sugar if desired. Simmer, stirring occasionally for about 20 minutes or until bubbling and hot. Serve with warmed buns brushed with butter and dried basil.
