Grilled Cornish Game Hens stuffed with fruit
User Submitted Recipe
“
A delightful single serving of poultry with a flavorful combination of sweet and spice"
Ingredients
4 Cornish Game Hens
1 large Pear seeded and cut into medium size chunks
1 cup fresh pineapple chucks
4 tsp dry rub spice (southwestern)
Spray olive oil
salt
freshly ground pepper
Instructions
Rinse game hens under cold water and dry with paper towel. Season the cavity with salt and pepper. Stuff each game hen with the pear and pineapple chunks. Lightly spray the bodies with olive oil and then dust each with 1 tsp dry rub spice.
Grill - Preheat the gas grill. Set the grill for indirect heat; with my Weber Grill I turn off the center burner and set the front and rear burners to medium heat.
Grill the game hens over indirect heat for about 30 - 40 mins or until the internal temp reached 165F.
