Alfredo Burger on Foccacia

A modern Bistro take on a classic Rarebit burger. Perfect!"


1 pound ground beef (Angus if available)
Foccacia bread
1 pint Heavy cream
1/4 stick butter
big handful grated parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic
crushed red pepper


In 10" skillet add butter and garlic. sautee slightly - then add cream and parmesan cheese. Let simmer until thickens slightly (~7 minutes) stirring just enough to not let it scortch - a little sticking is ok - a lot is bad.
When starting to thicken, add salt, pepper, crushed red pepper and basil to taste.
Seperate 1 lb beef into 3 patties. grill until pink is gone or to taste. Just before done, slice foccacia open and grill inside down. The inside should get just a little crispy and the outside should be soft.
Put burger on foccacia, top with foccacia top, and cover with Alfredo.
Serve with garlic fries goes well.
