Calzone SpaghettiUser Submitted Recipe
1lb of hot italian sausage
1 tbsp of fresh, minced garlic
1 large onion, sliced
1 large green pepper, sliced
1 - 2lb container of part skim ricotta
1 lb of spaghetti
fresh parsley (approx 1 tbsp.)
Brown sausage, garlic, onions, & pepper in pan until onions are translucent & sausage is cooked. In separate pan, cook pasta according to directions. with mixer on low, mix ricotta, salt, Pepper, garlic powder to taste. gently Add in parsley and let sit on side for approx 10 minutes while pasta is cooking. When pasta is done, ladle some of the sausage mixture on top and put a large dollop of prepared ricotta on top. Tastes great with all different kinds of pastas..ziti, thin spaghetti, cavatelli...
