STOVE TOP CHICKEN CASSEROLE

A fairly easy to prepare casserole"

Ingredients

1 Stick butter
1 pkg thin sliced
chicken breasts,
boneless,
skinless
8 oz pkg sliced
mushrooms
1/3 of a red bell
pepper, finely
chopped
2 green onions,
finely sliced
2 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp butter
1 6 oz pkg Stove
top Dressing,
chicken or
turkey
1 can Cream of
Chicken soup
1 can Cream of
Mushroom soup


Instructions

Melt stick of butter in 13x9 glass dish
Arrange chicken fillets in bottom of dish, turning over to coat both sides with butter
Saute muchrooms in olive oil and butter, then add the red bell pepper and green onions to the mix. About 10 minutes should be enough.
Lay the above mixture over the fillets.
Prepare Stove Top according to directions on box
Spread Stove Top mixture on top of mushroom mixture
Mix together both cans of soup and spread on top of Stove Top mixture
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, covered first with parchment paper and then foil.
Uncover and bake additional 15 minutes.
Let set for 5 minutes before serving.
