Cranberry Ham Loaf

A great recipe for using left-over Holiday ham"


1 lb mild pork sausage
1 1/2 lbs ham
1 egg
1 cup bread crumbs
2 medium onions
1 green pepper
1 cup milk
16 oz. cranberry sauce
1/4 cup water
1 TBSP Karo syrup


Finely chop the ham and mix thoroughly with the pork sausage.
In a separate dish beat the egg, add the onions (finely chopped), add the green pepper (coarsely chopped), and add the milk.
Mix the ham-sausage with the above ingredients and form into a loaf to fit your loaf pan.
Bake uncovered at 325 F for about 1 1/2 hours until the surface is brown.
While ham loaf is baking: In a medium sauce pan (medium to low heat) mi the water, Karo syrup, and cranberry sauce stirring occasionally until totally dissolved and begins to thicken.
Keep sauce warm until the loaf is ready. When ham loaf is cooked, pour the cranberry sauce over the loaf and serve.
