Tasty Turkey Chili
User Submitted RecipeIngredients
1 Lbs. Ground Turkey
2 Cans Tomato Paste
1 Can Whole Tomatoes
1 Can Kidney Beans
1 Can Ranch Style Beans
1 Can Pinto Beans
3 cups of water
2 Tsp. Chilli powder
2 Tsp. Fajita Seasoning (your choice of meat seasoning)
1 Onion
** For a kick of flavor:
1 Can of Rotel Tomatoes
Instructions
Cook your ground turkey and onions together in a frying pan with the meat seasoning.
As your turkey mixture is cooking, in a bowl put your tomato paste and 1 can of water. Then put aside till later.
After mixture is cooked throughly, drain off any excess grease.
In a large cooking pot, combine the turkey mixture, kidney beans, ranch style beans, and pinto beans. DO NOT DRAIN THE BEANS OUT OF THE CAN. You want the liquid that is packaged with the beans in your pot.
Then add your water and stir. If you want thicker chilli, add less water.
Add your can of whole tomatos. You will crush them, with your hands, as you add them. You do not have to put the juice they come in, but you can if you want the extra tomato taste.
Add your tomato paste mixture, this will thicken your chilli a little.
Add chilli powder and fajita seasonings to your taste. We like the amount above, but its to how spicy you would like it. The more chilli powder, the spicer.
Bring your chilli to a low boil.
Cook for 30 minutes and then serve. We love this recicipe for cold days.
