Spicy Shrimp Etoufee

This is a fast and easy dish to prepare and your guests will love it! It's a Spicy Cajun Recipe and looks Beautiful. Show it off to all of your Friends!

Recommended Servings

1/4 tsp Dried Thyme

1/4 tspDried Oregano

2/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper

3/4 tsp Garlic powder

1/4 tsp Onion Powder

1/4 tsp White Pepper

1/4 tsp Black Pepper

3/4 tsp Paprika

Vegetable Oil

2 lb. Shrimp

3 Tbsp Butter

1/3 cup Onions, diced

1/3 cup Celery, diced

1/3 cup Green Pepper, diced

1/3 cup Red Pepper, diced

1/3 cup Pablono Pepper, diced

1/3 cup Hot Pepper

2 Tbsp Flour

1 cup Tomatoes, diced

2 cups Chicken Stock

Shrimp Stock

1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Franks Redhot sauce, to taste 

1/2 tspSalt

1/2 cup Green onions

2 cups White Rice


Mix together 1/4tsp thyme, Oregano,onion powder,White pepper,and black pepper, and 3/4 tsp of paprika and Garlic Powder,2/4tsp of Cayenne to create a cajun seasoning set aside.

Bring a Pan of 4 cups of water to a boil add about 2 Cups of White Rice and let simmer for about 20 min.  Remove from pan when finished.

Meanwhile add 2 Lbs of Shrimp to a pan with 3tbsp of Butter and 1/2 tsp of salt and 2 tsp of spice blend and cook lightly not all the way through to create a fast easy shrimp stock,remove the shrimp and add 2 cups of chicken stock to the remaining Shrimp Stock set aside.

Next Dice all your peppers onions and celery about a 1/3 cup of each and add to a pan with 3 tbsp of butter sautee until onions become translucent Add the remaining of the spice blend and 2 Generous Tbsp of Flour Create a rouge. Next add 1 Cup of Diced Tomatoes to your chicken and shrimp stock, 1/2 tsp of Worcestershire and your Hot sauce to taste add 1/2 cup of Green onions and Your Shrimp. Cook shrimp the rest of the way through and let sauce thicken. Ready to Serve!
