Shredded Pork Barbecue
User Submitted Recipe
“
An easy homemade barbecue that just gets better and better. Beef or chicken can also be used instead of the pork."
Ingredients
1 tsp. each salt/pepper/garlic powder/paprika
4-5 lb. pork tenderloin
2c. ketchup
1 Tblsp. tomato paste
3 Tblsp white vinegar
1 Tblsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt/pepper
2 tsp. chili powder
dash cayenne pepper
Instructions
Mix first set of seasonings together and rub over roast. Wrap in foil and bake in 350 degree oven for 2 hours or until meat is tender enough to shred. While meat is baking, prepare sauce.
Mix remaining ingredients together in a saucepan and simmer at least 10 minutes. When roast is done, shred and mix with prepared sauce. Place in crockpot and let cook for at least an hour for flavors to combine. This is better prepared early enough that it can heat in the crockpot for a few hours.
