Bread Pudding

Low fat and easy bread pudding, mildly flavored with cardamon powder."


8 slices toasted (thick) buttermilk bread
3 Eggs
2 ½ cups milk
4 tbsp (room temperature) butter
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp cardamon powder
vanilla ice cream


Preheat oven to 350°F. Toast the bread, remove crust and cut into cubes. Put the cubes in a buttered baking dish.
Beat together eggs, milk, sugar, butter and cardamon powder until nice and fluffy. Pour over the cubed bread and press it down. Place it in the fridge until its time to bake.
Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes. Serve with fried cashews and golden raisins and scoop of plain vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!!!
