Ingredients

1 1/2 cup boiling water

1 cup quick cooking oatmeal

1/2 cup margarine

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 1/2 cup flour

1 tsp soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 Tbsp cocoa

12 oz pkg chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand 10 minutes. Cream together margarine, sugars, eggs. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Blend in softened oatmeal. Stir in half the chocolate chips. Pour into greased 9x12 pan. Sprinkle nuts and remaining chips over batter. Bake 350 oven 30-35 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
