Pumpkin Torte

Step 1
* 36 crushed graham cracker squares
* 1/3 cup sugar
* ¾ cup melted butter
Step 2
* 2 beaten eggs
* ¾ cup sugar
* 8 oz. (softened) cream cheese
Step 3
* 15 oz. can pumpkin
* 3 eggs yolks (save whites – will use in Step 5)
* ½ cup sugar
* ½ cup milk
* ½ tsp. salt
* 1 tsp. cinnamon
Step 4
* 1 env. Knox plain gelatin (dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water)
Step 5
* 3 egg whites (from Step 3)
* 1/4 cup sugar
Cool Whip!
Instructions
Mix Step 1 items and press into bottom of 9x13 pan.
Mix Step 2 items and pour over Step 1 items.
BAKE 20 minutes at 350 degrees. While it cools......
COOK Step 3 items until it seems to thicken (use your judgment). Remove from heat and....
ADD Step 4 item and let cool.
BEAT Step 5 items and FOLD into cooled pumpkin mixture. Then pour over cooled baked crust.
