Soft Half Moon Cookies
INGREDIENTS
3 c. white flour
1 1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 tbsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
2 eggs

ICING:
1 1/2 c. confectionery sugar
1/3 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. evaporated milk
Instructions
Mix together sugar, shortening, eggs, milk, and vinegar. Add rest of ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

After each cookie is frosted with white frosting, add 2 tablespoons cocoa to remaining icing and frost 1/2 of cookie with chocolate icing.
Cream sugar and shortening together until light. Mix flour and baking powder together. Add to sugar mixture with eggs.

Add vinegar to milk and add baking soda (to sour milk). Pour over other ingredients and add vanilla. Consistency will be cake like. Drop approximately 3 tablespoons per cookie on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees 7 minutes. Cool and frost 1/2 of cookie with white frosting and 1/2 with chocolate frosting.
