GRANDMA’S BEST OATMEAL COOKIES

its all your favorite things rolled into one perfect cookie, sprinkled with confectioners sugar! Chocolate chips, raisins, walnuts....yummy goodness!"
Ingredients
1 ¼ Cups Margarine
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup sugar
1 egg
1tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups flour
1tsp baking soda
1tsp salt
1tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp. nutmeg
3 cups oatmeal
Nuts, choc. Chips, and raisins, to taste
Instructions
Heat oven to 375, beat together margarine and sugars till light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices; add nuts, chocolate chips, and raisins. Stir in oats. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 minutes for a chewy cookie, 10-11 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet; remove to wire cooling rack. Store in air tight container. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
