Never Fail Chocolate Cake


Chocolate Cake
“ Mom was a teacher at a one room school house in Beulah North Dakota and the farmers would give her sour milk and she would make this cake for us. We never frosted the cake, just ate it out of the oven with butter, except for my sister who would put mustard on it. Many mornings this was our breakfast as Mom was driving to school. This was done in the mid 50's."

Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1/2 cups butter
2 eggs
2 squares chocolate
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup sour milk
1 cup water


Instructions

Mix together and beat
Cook at 350 until toothpick comes out clean
