Rolled Oat Bars

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 Tsp. Salt
2 Eggs
1 Cup Margarine
2 Tsp. Vanilla
1 Cup Sifted All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup Uncooked-Rolled Oats
TOPPING:
1 Large bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
Mix Sugars together in small bowl. In another bowl mix margarine, vanilla, salt & eggs. Stir with spoon until blended. Add sugars to mixture and begin adding small amounts of flour. Put uncooked, rolled oats in small food chopper until they are a powdery consistency. Add oats to mixture. Pour batter into ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350o until golden brown. Cool.
TOPPING:
Pour semi-sweet chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl & melt.
Spread chocolate mixture on top of cooled bars. Cut into squares.
*OPTIONAL:
Sprinkle with your choice of chopped nuts or coconut or leave plain with just the chocolate on top.
