Christmas Brownies

1 box favorite brownie mix-to make 9x13 pan
Mint Frosting:
1/4 cup softened butter
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 to 3 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. peppermint extract
Green food coloring
Topping:
4 Tbsp butter
3/4 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
Make brownies as directed in 9x13 pan
Cool at least 1 hour
To make mint frosting cream 1/4 cup butter and powdered sugar, gradually adding milk by Tablespoons until creamy. Mix in peppermint extract and a few drops of food coloring
Frost brownies, then cover and chill 1 hour
To make chocolate topping pour chips into a microwave-safe bowl. Add 4 Tbsp butter. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes just to melt ingredients. Stir to blend. Smooth over chilled brownies with a knife. Refrigerate 45 minutes or until coating hardens.
