Oreo Truffles


1 package of Oreo cookies
8 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
6-12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
3-6 oz. white chocolate chips


In your Cuisinart food processor, process the Oreo cookies till they are very fine crumbs.
Add the cream cheese to the food processor and mix till well blended. The mixture will be a little sticky.
Using 1 tablespoon of the mixture at a time, make balls, rolling in the palm of your hand.
Place the truffle balls on a silpat sheet or baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place balls in the refrigerator for 1/2 hour to solidify. This makes the truffles easier to work with!
In a microwave safe container melt 6 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave. Depending on the number of truffles you make, melt the rest of the chips if you run out.
Gently dip the truffles (one at a time)into the chocolate so they are completely covered. Use a fork to lift them out, shaking of excess chocolate.
Place the truffles back on the silpat sheet to dry.
In another microwave safe container, melt 3 oz. of the white chocolate chips. Like before, melt more if needed.
Drizzle the white chocolate over the dry semi-sweet covered truffles. Allow to dry again.
These treasures should be kept in the refrigerator till you serve them. Enjoy!!
