Orange Cinnamon CrispsUser Submitted Recipe
1 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
grated rind 1 large Orange (about 1 1/2 Tablespoons)
1 Tablespoon orange juice
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar and 2 tsp. cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat sugar, egg, shortening, vanilla and orange rind together. Add orange juice. Blend in flour, soda, and salt. Shape dough into walnut size balls. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Dip balls into mixture, place on cookie sheet. flatten with glass dipped in sugar mixture. Bake 10-15 minutes. Rest one minute, place on cooling rack. Enjoy.
