Molasses Apple Cake

A quick and easy old fashion cake. Serve with or without the ice cream. Something your whole family will like and ask for more."
Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup molasses
1 cup sour milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 cups of flour
2 cups of sliced apples
Instructions
Mix the first 8 ingredients together and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan
Put two cups of sliced apples on top and sprinkle with sugar mixture (1/4 cup of sugar with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon mixed well)
Serve with ice cream or whip cream while warm
Bake at 350* for 35 to 40 minutes
