Ingredients
1 c. butter-very cold
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar, dark
1 egg
2 c. flour, presifted
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
1 c. chips
1 c. chopped walnuts
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper. Cream very cold butter with sugar thoroughly. Add egg and, again, mix thoroughly and then add vanilla. Add flour, baking soda, and salt and mix. Add in chocolate chips and finally, the walnuts. Using a teaspoon, place dough on cookie sheets. Time will very depending on your oven, but start at about 10-11 minutes baking time. Take them out when they look a little under done. You may have to experiment with this to understand what gets the best results. Remember, you must use dark brown sugar and very cold butter to get the results you want. If you use butter at room temperature, you will have cookies that spread out flat.
