Pear Cream Pie
User Submitted Recipe
“
Not too sweet and deliciously satisfying when you want a special treat."
Ingredients
9" Pie Crust unbaked
5-6 Pears
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/4 Cup Flour
1/2 Tsp. Nutmeg
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1 Cup Heavy Cream
Instructions
Heat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Prepare pie crust and seal with beaten egg white, and let set for 10 minutes while preparing pear filling.
Peal, core, slice pears and place in large bowl.
Mix together sugar, flour, salt. Lightly toss the mixture with sliced pears.
Place half of the pear mixture in pie shell laying them flat in shell.
Take second half of the pears and carefully stand them on edge around the shell, putting the large end of slice to the outside edge of crust.
Pour heavy cream over pears and place in 325 degree oven for 60-70 minutes or until cream is set.
Totally Yummy!
