Halloween Jell-o Hand

“ It's orange mandarin jello with a hand smack in the middle. Of course it's not a REAL hand - it's a grape edible jello hand. This is how we made this jello-rific recipe dish: My daughter held open a plastic glove and I pored apx. 1 cup of pre-made grape jello (add 1/2 tsp. of knox to the jello - so it firms up) inside and fastened the top with an unused rubber band. We placed the jello hand in the refrigerator and let it sit in there overnight. The next day we cut open the platic hand with a knife and placed the jello hand on top of the orange jello that is firm (we made the orange jello according to the box and added 1 can of mandarin oranges to the jello). I then put some gummy worms around the edge of the jello bowl to give it a colorful, yet creepy look to it."

Ingredients

-4 boxes of Orange Jell-o (3 oz)
-1 box of grape Jell-o (3 oz)
-1/2 tsp of Knox
-1 can of crushed pineapple (15 oz)
-8 Gummie Worms

-1 plastic glove to make the jello hand (you could also use a jello hand mold).


Instructions

Make the orange jell-o according to the box directions and put in one bowl, add the can of crushed pineapple. Let jell-o sit in the refrigerator over night.
Make grape jell-o according to box and put in a seperate small bowl. One the grape jell-o is in the bowl add 1/2 tsp of knox to firm the jell-o. Take the plastic glove, open and poor grape jell-o inside. Attach with a rubber band tightly and put on a flat dish in the freezer for overnight.
Next day, take orange jell-o out of frig and grape jell-o hand out of freezer. Place hand on top of orange jell-o and place the gummie worms around the edges of the bowl.
