Strawberry Ice CreamUser Submitted Recipe
1 pint strawberries, stemmed and sliced
3 cups canned evaporated milk, well chilled
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. salt
Combine fruit, sugar, lemon juice and salt in a large bowl; mash and allow the berries to macerate for 1/2 hour. Add the chilled evaporated milk; stir to mix. Pour into Cuisinart ice cream maker and freeze according to instructions.
Any fruit or berries can be used equal to approx 2 cups of mashed fruit.
