Prize Winning Brownies

One Bowl Wonder
These are dense moist fudgy brownies not the cake like ones.
The are best made with Hershey's Baking Chocolate and I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Margarine"


2 oz baking choc.
1 stick margarine
1 cup gran. sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 ex. lg. eggs
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 cup chopped nuts


In a microwave safe bowl, on low power, melt chocolate and margarine. Stir in sugar and Vanilla. Add eggs and stir well, Add flour stir just until mixed. Add nuts. Pour into buttered 8 X 8 pan. Bake 25 minutes in 325 degree oven. DO NOT OVERBAKE. Test for doneness by pressing lightly at edge of pan. If you don't leave a depression, brownies are done. Cool and frost.
For Fugdgy frosting, Melt 2 oz and 4 Tbsp butter together. Add 1/2 box of confectioners sugar. Heat 1/2 cup milk till steaming. Add 1 tsp vanilla. Stir in milk a little at a time until spreading consistency. Use a hand mixer for frosting. For brownies stir only by hand. Mix well except after adding flour. Just stir until mixed.
