French Apricot Cream Cheese Bars

Ingredients

Topping and base:

1 French Vanilla Cake Mix
1/3 cup melted margarine
1 egg
Filling:
1- 12 ounce jar of apricot preserves
1- 8 ounce package light cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
spray a 9x13 pan with non stick spray.
Combine cake mic, margarine, and egg. Mix with a fork til crumbly.
Gently spoon 1 1/2 cups into a small bowl and set aside for topping. Press remaining crumbs in bottom of pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
Spread preserves evenly over crust wwhen it cools a little. In a small bowl combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg, beat til ssmooth. Spread evenly over preserves.Sprinkle reserved cake mix mixture over cream cheese layer.Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown. Chill before serving. Store in fridge.
