Cinnamon glazed pull aparts

This is a yeast dough that is so indulgent! Serve while warm."


1 package dry yeast,
3 Tbs sugar,
2 cups warm water,
3 Tbs vegetable oil,
1 egg,
1 tsp salt,
5 cups bread flour,
4 Tbs butter,
1/2 brown sugar,
1 Tbs cinnamon,
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)


Mix yeast, sugar and water. Allow to set for 10 minutes. A foam should form on top. Mix in oil, egg and salt. Gradually blend in all but 1/2 cup of flour. Blend until smooth and then turn out onto a floured surface and knead for 8 minutes. Use the remaining 1/2 cup flour as needed while kneading. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour. Punch down the dough and form into approximately 48 balls. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and optional pecans. Dip each ball into melted butter then sugar mixture. Place coated balls of dough in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle any remaining cinnamon sugar on top.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Allow dough to rise again, for about 20 minutes, and bake for 14 minutes.
