Creamy Peanut Butter and Cocoa Ice Cream
User Submitted RecipeIngredients
1 cup cold whole milk
2 cups heavy cream (whipping)
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup Hershey chocolate syrup, preferably the dark chocolate. Richer flavor.
10 cut up small Reese's Peanut Butter cups. The bagged ones.
Instructions
Follow normal ice cream maker guidelines. I mix the cream, milk, vanilla and syrup in the ice cream pot. Let it mix around for 15 minutes until it starts to get creamy. Then put in the cut up Reese's and let the cycle finish. When done you will have a creamy and flavorful ice cream without the sugar or sugar substitutes. I have tried using sugar in these recipes and they are just overly sweet. The syrup and Reese's add plenty of sweetness and not using sugar cuts down on calories. You can add anything. Do this with almonds, marshmallows and make rocky road.
