Fluffy almond meringue cookies with dried strawberries"


2 egg whites
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon almond extract
3/4 cup sugar
6 oz dried strawberries
1/4 cup sliced and toasted almonds


Beat egg whites in stand mixer with salt and cream of tartar. Add in almond extract. Slowly add in sugar till stiff peaks form. Fold in dried strawberries. Line baking pan with brown paper bag. Drop cookies on baking pan and top with sliced almonds. Bake 8-10 minutes on 350. Or until golden brown.
