A memorable cake recipe that reminds you of the orange dreamsicles you would eat as a child! This cake is moist and light, even with the cream cheese in the icing. The orange ingredients could be substituted with lemon for a different citrus twist."
Ingredients
Cake batter:
1 box orange cake mix
1 tsp orange extract
milk
1 cup sour cream
butter
Icing:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
12 oz. extra creamy cool whip
8 oz. cream cheese (@ room temperature)
1 yoplait orange creme yogurt
1 1/2 Tbsp orange extract
Instructions
Mix cake according to directions on box*. (*except substitute milk for water, butter for oil, and add 1 cup of sour cream) Bake according to directions on box. Mix together all ingredients listed for the icing & spread over cake after it has cooled.
