A traditional Czech dessert pastry, featuring blueberries, raspberries or apricots- perfect for summer baking!"

Ingredients

1 and 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of milk
1 and 1/2 cup of white yogurt
4 Tbs. of melted unsalted butter
2 egg yolks
2 Tbs. of baking powder
2 Tbs. of vanilla sugar (or vanilla extract)
1-2 cups of cut up fruit of your choice (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, currants, peaches)


Instructions

Put milk, yogurt, sugar, egg yolks and the melted butter in a bowl and beat the mixture for about 2 minutes (until mixture seems smooth). My Cuisinart has eliminated the "arthritis" I used to get by doing this by hand!
Mix baking powder and vanilla sugar into the flour
Gradually start adding flour into the bowl, and mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
Cover the buttered and floured surface of your non-stick baking pan with a light coat of flour
Pour your dough into the baking pan. Coat your fruit with 1 Tbs. of flour and scatter it onto the dough (push some pieces into the dough). Then, cover with "drobenka" topping, by mixing some sugar, flour and butter until crumbly and sprinkle it over the whole pan. This crispy texture really brings the dish to life, in my opinion.
Bake the bread at 350 F for about 20 minutes or until the surface has golden color. Let cool thoroughly and serve in squares.
