Fresh Fruit Compote and Sour Cream DressingUser Submitted Recipe
1 pt. fresh strawberries, rinsed and quartered
1 banana sliced
1/2 pt. fresh whole raspberries, rinsed
1 cup seedless white grapes, rinsed
1 cup seedless red grapes, rinsed
1 10-oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
1 6-oz. can pineapple chunks, drained
1 pt. sour cream
1/2 cup honey
In a small mixing bowl, combine sour cream and honey. Blend together until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use. Combine all fruit in a large clear glass serving bowl. Fold together gently for appearance. Cover with clear wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Top individual servings of compote with 2-tbs. sour cream dressing.
Tip: This fruit medley is a great party dish. It can be expanded easily with more fruit depending on the number served. Other fruits can be added as well. Sliced pears, peach wedges, kiwi, and star fruit among other work well for appearance, taste and quantity
