Wet Bottom Shoe Fly Pie

Ingredients

Bottom:
3/4 cup dark corn syrup
1/4 cup molasses
1 cup boiling water
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 egg (lightly beaten)

Top:
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons oleo
2/3 cups brown sugar

1- 9"-10" deep pie dish


Instructions

Prepare bottom:
Combine syrup, molasses & water. Stir in baking soda & add egg.

Prepare top:
Combine flour, oleo & sugar
Mix 1 cup of these crumbs into molasses mixture.

Pour into pie shell.

Bake @ 400 for 25 minutes. Reduce and bake @ 375 till toothpick comes out clean.
