Spicy Tropical Rum Pound Cake


Cake Mix:
1 Pkg Spice cake mix
4 Eggs
1/2 Cup oil
1/2 Cup water
1/2 cup spiced brown rum
1/4 tsp cayenne
1 orange, zested and juiced
1 pkg banana pudding instant

Glaze Mix:
1/2 cup sugar
1 Cup water
1 stick butter
1/3 cup spiced rum


Place all cake ingredients in a stand mixer and allow to mix for 7-8 minutes. Pour into 10 cup bundt and bake at 350 for one hour. Mix glaze ingredients on stove top and allow to simmer on low for about 15 minutes, until the mix turns very light golden. Poke holes in cooked cake and pour glaze over cake. Allow to cool and serve with whipped cream. Cake improves in flavor after 3-4 days. This cake also freezes great!
