Homemade Peach PieUser Submitted Recipe
Made for 2 pies
4 c flour
2 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cup Crisco
1-1/2 warm water
2 c sugar
1/2 stick butter
hand full of flour
Combine all ingredients for the dough and make into big ball. Add more flour if necessary.
Take 2 sheets of tin foil and put baseball size piece of dough and roll out on sheets.
Place in bottom of 10 in. glass pan (make sure pan is greased up)
When the crust is laid in the dish cut off extra pieces and set aside (or replace if some of the crust tore)
Repeat process for top of pie, but for the top crust of the pie, when rolled out take quarter sized hole and cut about 5 times to let the air escape.
Combine all the filling ingredients and place in pie dish.
Take top of crust and flip over pie. (Make sure holes are in the middle)
Cut off excess and squeeze together the 2crusts to make sure its sealed
Bake for 1hr. (may vary). Make sure the bottom crust is golden brown!
Top with coat of sugar before putting in oven to have sugar hard and shiny, and sweet
