Wine Infused Cranberry Brownie Sunday

Chocolate brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and port based cranberry sauce."


Vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup port wine
1 large orange (juice only)
1 cup sugar
3 tbls cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3 cups of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
1 package of brownie mix
port wine


Bake brownie mix substituting port wine for water.
In a sauce pan, over medium heat, combine wine, orange juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cranberries and bring to a boil then let simmer until berries and tender.
Remove from heat. Cut brownie into 12 squares. Top each square with a scoop of ice cream and a 1/4 cup of cranberry sauce.
