Lucille's Pound Cake

Delicious and moist with a golden crust. It doesn't need icing to become a favorite dessert."

Ingredients

4 eggs
1/2 cp Crisco
2 sticks margarine
3 cps sugar
3 cps cake flour
1 cp milk
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp vanilla
1/4-1/2 tsp salt


Instructions

Preheat oven to 325.
Grease and flour tube or bundt cake pan.
Cream, margarine, Crisco, and sugar together.
Add l-1/2 cp flour, l/2 cp milk. Blend well.
Add eggs 1 at a time blending well after each addition.
Alternately add remaining flour and milk.
Add flavorings and salt.
Bake at 325 for 1 hour, increase oven temperature to 350 and continue baking for 30 minutes.
Cool for 15 minutes and remove from pan.
