“
These Sugar are just amazing they have a hint of lemon to them. Try them and you will make them over and over."
Ingredients
2 lbs flour
1 lb sweet butter
1 lb confection sugar
10 hard boiled egg yolks
2 whole eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
juice & rind of 1 lemon
Instructions
Sift dry ingredients together working in butter as for pie crust. Add the whole eggs, lemon juice and rind. Put the yolks thru a sieve and add to the mixture working very well to make a smooth dough. Place dough on floured board and roll out to a 1/4 inch or a little thicker to your choice and cut out with cookie coutters. Brush with egg whites and dip in finely ground nuts spray pan with pam and place about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 °F for about 12 minutes or until nice and light brown.
