This is a dressed up corn bread. Good served with chili or ham and beans. It is almost an entree when served with a cup of soup or a salad. This dish is good hot or cold. "
Ingredients
1 16 oz can cream corn
1/3 cup melted shortening
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup milk
1 cup yellow corn meal
2 Tbsp flour
1 tsp Baking soda
1 # hamburger, browned and drained
1 4oz. can green chilies
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
Mix everything together. Put in a 9" square pan.
Bake 40 to 45 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
