Simple Syrup (Version 2 – light)Cuisinart Original Recipe
This is a lighter version of our simple syrup. It’s a bit less concentrated and has the perfect amount of sweetness for regular sodas.
1 cup granulated sugar
2 cups water
1 . Put both the sugar and water into a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil. Once it boils, reduce heat to medium to allow mixture to simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved. Stir occasionally.
2 . Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to cool completely before using. Syrup can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a month.
