Simple Restaurant Salsa

This is the kind of salsa that is served in Mexican restaurants, smooth bodied and as spicy as you like!"


28 oz. can of crushed tomatoes
7 oz. can pickled jalapenos, undrained (less for milder salsa)
1 tbsp garlic powder
kosher salt to taste


Process tomatoes and pickled jalapenos with their juice in the food processor, add garlic powder and process thoroughly. Add salt to taste. Sodium levels in canned tomatoes vary widely from brand to brand, so our salt ranges from no salt to a teaspoon of salt, to your taste.
