Sherried Oysters


24 raw oysters
Salt and Pepper
Flour and Oil

1 Cup A-1 Steak Sauce
2 Tbsp. Lea & Perrins Worcestershire
1 oz. Sherry
1/4 cup Fresh lemon juice
2 Tbsp. Flour
2 Tbsp Water


Salt and pepper oysters. Dredge in flour and grill on a buttered griddle or in heavy skillet until browned on both sides. Place other ingredients in a saucepan and heat until warm. Blend flour with a little water and stir in as a thicken agent. Correct sauce seasonings to taste, add more A-1 it to thin or sherry if to thick. Place grilled oysters on a hot serving plate and cover withe the heated sauce. Insert toothpicks and serve
