Drunk Mussels

mussels in a wine broth with crusty garlic toast"


1 lb mussels
2 Tablespoons butter
1 or 2 shallots diced fine
1 large garlic clove diced fine
juice of 1 lemon
1 cup wine
1 cup chicken broth


Saute onions and garlic in butter until translucent squeeze in juice of one lemon add wine and broth bring to boil add mussels put on lid and let steep about 5 mins until mussels open serve with crusty garlic bread to soak up the broth
